I would like to wish everyone a safe and happy 4^th of July. The Fourth of July celebrates the passage of the Declaration of Independence by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776.

Tyler Harris has a wonderful report from Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway that includes Victory Lane comments from Carmen Perrigo and Brandon Burgoon. In a separate segment Tyler did a great interview with RUSH Late Model driver Kassidy Kamicker.

I had a chance to talk with Jason Busch about his recent Modified Feature win at Jennerstown. Lucas Oil Late Model Brock Pinkerous spoke with Dave Oliveire at the Firecracker.

Adam Kostelnick One of the most successful asphalt race car drivers in the area did a great interview with Howie Balis. I appreciate the kind words Adam mentioned about my efforts with local racing.

Ken and Kyle Burkholder had a great time talking to Howie Balis. Lenny Batycki dd a great interview with Micro Sprint winner Natalie Branon.

We have some Victory Lane interviews Modified feature winner Garrett Krummert, John Mollick in the Sprints, Cole Holden RUSH Modifieds and Ricky Lewis in the BOSS Sprint Cars.

 

Jean Lynch a Hall of Fame Racing Lady

Jean Lynch got started in racing back in 1957. Her husband, Ed, had a friend who was in the jalopy division at a track close to where she lived, called Hyde Park. Jean attended one of the races with Ed when he went to work the pits.

In those days, women and children were not allowed in the pits, so Jean sat in the stands with her young son. From that day, Jean and Ed became fans of the sport of racing. They began making the trip to Langhorne to see the big race.

After about a year, Jack Freeman, who was a part of the Langhorne Track crowd, approached Jean at home one day and expressed his interest in ob­taining the track at Latrobe, and asked if she would be interested in helping with the operation.

She agreed to the proposal and went ahead and sold tickets to the specta­tors, then signed all the cars in, lined up all the cars, scored all the cars, then she paid off and went home, wrote the stories, did the points and composed the release for the next week. She became a "women of many hats".

Guests include NASCAR driver Josh Berry, July 2021 Bill Hribar, Lenny Batycki and Don Gamble met at Heinz History Center Sports Museum in Pittsburgh to cover the CARS Super Late Model Race coming to Jennerstown Speedway.

Josh was here for the race. Lenny Batyki served as the moderator for the TV Stations in attendance and the three of us went to Lunch at the Olive Garden after the festivities concluded.

Bill Korch has a report on the Firecracker at Lernerville Speedway.

Dave Olivieri has interviews with Ricky Thorton Jr. pre-race and Ricky Thorton Jr. in Victory Lane. Max picked up his first Lucas Oil Super Late Model feature win on Friday.

Jeremy Shaffer, Ethan Myers & Zane Ferrell did interviews with Howie Balis at Jennerstown.

Tyler Harris has a report on all the activities at PPMS.

Brian Spade has a wonderful interview with Max Blair the winner of the Bill Emig Memorial.

This week’s show features all the action at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway with Tyler Harris and Victory Lane interviews with Tommy Schirnhofer and Stephen Shelpman. Lenny Batycki has a great interview with Blanket Hill Speedway winner Dave Blazavich.

Howie Balis has been working for two weeks with Flow Racing and talked to Jason Busch, John Fama, Cindy Shaulis and Jeff Zellweger. There were two off nights at Latrobe Speedway and Howie offered to help at Jennerstown. 

We have a nice Victory Lane interview with Chris Schneider and Eric Amarillo.

Next week’s show will include Zane Ferrell and all the reports from the Firecracker at Lernerville Speedway.

Some of the discussion involved plans for next season that could include the CARS Tour, Late Models and Modifieds. Marcus Smith mentioned his feelings about Dale Earnhardt Jr. The Ambassador of NASCAR Motorsports.
